Navajo RC&D will provide leadership and coordinate two main projects in 2005. The Cultural Youth Exchange Project in partnership with Tropical Reforestation Ecosystem Education, Inc. of Hawaii (TREE Hawaii) will take place in June and July. Conservation Awareness seminars are planned for 15 locations on the Navajo Nation.

Navajo RC&D received the Environmental Excellence Award on April 14, 2005 at the Navajo Nation Museum, Window Rock, AZ presented by the Navajo Nation Environmental Protection Agency.
